Johana Betsuin Zentoku-ji Temple This massive temple building impresses people with the dignity of its 530-year history. It was founded by the 8th chief priest, Rennyo. Today it functions as a sub-temple in Johana belonging to Higashi Hongan-ji Temple in Kyoto (Shinshu Otani School of Buddhism). The temple owns about 10,000 Buddhist treasures, as well as arts and crafts related to the Kaga Maeda Clan. During the Mushiboshi (airing items) ceremony held from July 22 to 28, about 500 of these treasures are exhibited to the public.Johana-za, Traditional Entertainment Center of Johana, Nanto CityA multi-purpose community house whose architectural design incorporates elements of traditional machiya townhouses of Johana and theatres.
