The permanent exhibition features the region’s long history, spanning from ancient times until modern days. Some of the items exhibited are valuable articles related to the Western studies which the castle’s Prefecture, Koga City is blessed with the lush green and abundant water of the Tone and Watarase rivers as well as a number of historical sites scattered throughout the city. The area flourished as an accommodation base by the castle since the Muromachi period (17-19th century). Koga Kubo Park is a well-known spot in spring as some 1,700 of six different kinds of peach trees all blossom at once and create a magnificent view.chief retainer, Senseki Takami, collected, recorded and studied. Special exhibitions are held occasionally.Koga Tenkoku Carving MuseumTenkoku is a kind of carving originally developed in China about 700 years ago. A Chinese letter chosen from a Confucianist sutra and ancient Chinese poems is transformed into the ancient lettering of over 2000 years ago and carved on soft stone or wood. The carved letter is then stamped with orange ink on paper and is enjoyed as an art piece.
